To ensure the best possible recording of your 8-track tape, we clean each tape we receive to remove any harmful dust that could affect the audio quality. Then we digitize the audio on your tapes. After this transfer is complete, we begin to edit the digital audio we captured. The digital audio is analyzed by our technician and then digital enhanced to obtain the highest quality sound possible. Our process leaves you with a clearer sounding and higher quality product. In most transfers we give you a product that sounds better then the original tape.
Your 8-track tapes will be transferred to our –R CDs. Each CD can hold up to 80 min of audio. If your tape is longer than this, then it will be made into multiple CDs for no extra charge. Each CD is permanently labeled on the disc itself using LightScribe technology, not messy stick on labels. We also place each CD in a protective case to prevent it from getting scratched on the way back to you. You are free to edit or make copies of your new CD in order to share and enjoy.

My 81 year old uncle came across a stack of 40 year old 8 track tape recordings that belonged to my grandfather (his father) and asked me if I could get them converted. Grandpa used to play the piano and organ for the silent movies back in the day. I first sent them to another company who returned them, saying they could not be converted due to "format". Fortunately, I came across Media Revamp and was rewarded with CD conversions that came out beautifully. Excellent work and swift service. Thank you!

My 8 track tape is from around 1970. I haven't heard it since then. I was in a band with my best friend who has just passed away, so I was even more anxious to hear it. Media Revamp discovered the 8 track tape needed repair and they were able to fix it and record it onto a CD. The quality isn't the best because of it's age, but I was able to hear it and my friend, for the first time in 20 years. Thank you for that!

Other than getting the name of the band wrong on the CD, the CD itself was good. The 8 track was 40 years old. You did a great job with it. I would use this company again.

I had an 8-track tape recording of my grandfather singing old Scottish songs which I had not been able to hear in many, many years. I was very happy to be able to hear his voice once again, plain and clear. I was very satisfied, and the price was reasonable.
